Have a care-related complaint or abuse report?

As a legislative Commission, JCHC conducts health-related research but does not regulate health care providers or address individual care-related complaints or reports of abuse. To make a complaint regarding care provided within the Commonwealth of Virginia or to report on abuse, you may contact one or more of the following agencies/organizations. For immediate assistance in an emergency, you should call 911.

TJC staff “cannot serve as complaint mediators, we can use the information you provide to identify possible noncompliance with our accreditation or certification standards. For direct resolution of your complaint, you may want to bring your issue to the attention of the health care organization’s leadership.”
